At the regular press conference providing information in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of September 7, Lieutenant Colonel Le Manh Ha, Deputy Head of the Staff Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that social networks are highly anonymous and take advantage of people's lack of vigilance. Fraudulent activities to appropriate assets in cyberspace (both domestically and internationally ) are taking place in a complicated manner, with increasingly sophisticated methods of operation.
" Cyberscammers have created many scenarios and constantly come up with new ones that appeal to the psychology, needs, and greed of victims, such as the desire to find light work with high salaries; find work with flexible hours to earn extra income... ", Mr. Ha said.

According to Mr. Ha, the scamming method is not new, there are only "new scam stories", so to avoid being lured into scams, people need to note: All easy ways to make money online are scams; call relatives to verify, meet in person... when relatives ask to borrow money.
The police do not work over the phone, so people should stay calm and absolutely refuse to work over the phone (especially with strange numbers); do not provide account numbers, credit cards, or personal information to anyone; absolutely do not transfer money in any form without working directly with the authorities (if you have transferred, you must immediately notify the bank to freeze the transferred amount); inform your family and notify the nearest police agency for handling.....
The bank does not send SMS messages with links to log in to online banking services; does not transfer money, does not perform any transactions related to money transfer, money contribution, performing tasks... to anyone when that person is not known;
Should use direct transactions through contracts before using online applications; Should lock online payment features, lock credit cards right on the Internet Banking application, when suspecting card information disclosure; Only log in to electronic banking services through the bank's official website.
If you have accidentally clicked on a fraudulent link and disclosed information, contact the bank's support center or compose a message using the previously specified emergency lock syntax for further instructions...
