Salaries and bonuses of medical staff have both increased.

On the afternoon of February 6, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health), along with a working delegation from the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Health Trade Union and leaders of the Hanoi Department of Health visited and extended New Year greetings to the leaders and staff of Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong (holding a baby) visited and gave gifts to pregnant women and patients at Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital on the afternoon of February 6.

Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is a grade 1 hospital under the Hanoi Department of Health , and is also one of the four final-level hospitals for obstetrics and gynecology in the country.

According to the hospital's report, in 2023, the hospital will receive 330,000 outpatient visits, 55,000 inpatient treatments, and deliver 30,000 babies.

According to the latest surveys, 93% of patients are satisfied with the quality of hospital services.

In 2023, the hospital successfully deployed many advanced techniques with 941 fetal interventions, saving the lives of thousands of children, performing many miraculous fetal retention surgeries, and coordinating to save the lives of fetuses.

Many advanced and very difficult techniques in the field of obstetrics have been successfully performed by the hospital, such as intra-amniotic intervention to "correct" fetal malformations, and prenatal diagnosis and screening development.

The hospital focuses on developing 7 specialized spearheads, including: fetal intervention; reproductive support and andrology; prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, gynecological cancer; anesthesia, resuscitation, pain relief in surgery and procedures; laparoscopic surgery; treatment and care of premature newborns; prenatal and neonatal screening and diagnosis.

Besides, the hospital also regularly takes good care of the material and spiritual life of staff and workers.

Regarding medical work during the Lunar New Year holiday, the leader of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital said that in order to provide regular and continuous care for patients, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital has assigned a team of doctors and nurses to ensure enough staff to serve patients 24/7.

Along with that, medicine, blood, infusion fluid and necessary equipment and facilities for emergency and medical examination and treatment have been planned and reserved.

Wishing a happy new year, giving gifts to doctors and visiting patients being treated at Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong praised and highly appreciated the achievements and results that the hospital has achieved in recent times.

Ms. Huong also expressed her excitement when learning that the allowances, compensation, salary, and Tet bonuses for medical staff have all increased this year.

Previously, information from a number of hospitals such as Bach Mai, Viet Duc, National Children's Hospital, Hanoi Oncology Hospital showed that the income and bonuses for doctors, nurses, and medical staff have increased significantly compared to 2022 - 2023, with an average increase of about 20 - 30%; some units have an average Tet bonus of 18 - 20 million VND/person.
