Manulife organizes a program to improve community health knowledge for consultants

(Dan Tri) - Recently, Manulife launched a series of 50 training courses on community health knowledge at Hanoi Medical University, aiming to improve the capacity of the team of consultants to accompany customers more effectively.

A representative of Manulife Vietnam said that this is the first class in a series of knowledge enhancement programs, implemented in practice under a cooperation agreement between Manulife, Hanoi Medical University and the Vietnam Young Physicians Association in July. The classes will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 with the participation of more than 2,200 Manulife consultants.

At the first training session, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health - Hanoi Medical University directly taught the class, along with a team of 15 experienced lecturers.

The curriculum is practical, focusing on knowledge of common diseases such as: digestive diseases, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, cancer, stroke, diabetes, mental and physical health care... In addition, the Manulife consultant team is also equipped with practical skills and practical situation handling, including: preliminary analysis and interpretation of medical records, reading and understanding test results, and essential medical knowledge...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, Manulife Vietnam consultant, shared: “The program provides practical medical knowledge, from how to recognize signs of common diseases in the community to skills in analyzing test indicators. I appreciate the instructions that combine medical knowledge with insurance benefits, helping to support customers effectively. The lecturers also communicate in an easy-to-understand way and answer each question thoroughly. The course helps me feel more confident when advising customers."

Through the program, Manulife Vietnam hopes to equip its consulting team with a practical medical foundation to effectively connect and accompany customers. For existing customers, enhancing medical knowledge will help consultants better answer and support questions related to medical benefits payments, as well as share information on nutrition, disease prevention, building a positive lifestyle, etc., helping customers conquer the journey of healthy living every day.

Meanwhile, for potential customers, with additional accumulated medical knowledge, consultants can design insurance solutions that best suit the customer's current health situation, contributing to optimizing costs to achieve financial goals.
