Central Highlands - Central region energizes a series of 110kV projects

The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that in December it will continue to start construction on two projects and energize five projects.

On December 4, 2024, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that since the beginning of this year, it has started construction on 7 projects and energized 9 projects in provinces and cities in the Central Highlands - Central region.

It is expected that in December, 2 more projects will be started and 5 projects will be energized.

Specifically, EVNCPC has started the projects: Upgrading the capacity of 110kV Tu Nghia transformer station (Quang Ngai); 110kV Phong Dien Industrial Park transformer station and connection (Thua Thien Hue); Upgrading the cross-section of the 110kV line of 220kV Quang Ngai - Nui But transformer station (Quang Ngai); Installing transformer T2 of 110kV Dak R'Lap 2 transformer station ( Dak Nong ); Upgrading the capacity of 110kV Nhon Tan transformer station (Binh Dinh); 110kV line of 220kV Phuoc An - Don Pho switching station (Binh Dinh); and 110kV Cat Nhon transformer station and connection (Binh Dinh).

In December 2024, EVNCPC will start construction of the remaining two projects: the 110kV connection project after the 220kV Chan May substation (Thua Thien Hue) and the capacity upgrade of the 110kV Ky Ha substation ( Quang Nam ).

It is expected that by the end of 2024, EVNCPC will complete energizing 14 110kV projects, exceeding the assigned plan by 3 projects.

According to Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, General Director of EVNCPC, the completion of 110kV power projects in 13 provinces and cities in the Central Highlands is of utmost importance.

The projects not only provide timely electricity to develop the load, reduce power loss but also improve the quality of electricity and reliability of power supply in the region and surrounding areas. Contribute to meeting the needs of socio -economic development, ensuring national security and defense and improving people's lives.

Mr. Cu said that to complete the construction investment plan assigned by EVN in 2024 and the following years, EVNCPC has implemented many drastic solutions.

Focusing on overcoming difficulties in investment policies, compensation and site clearance to achieve and exceed the schedule for starting construction and energizing power projects.

"Some 110kV projects still face difficulties in investment policies and site clearance compensation, which has affected implementation progress.

Project management boards and member power companies will continue to closely coordinate with local authorities to resolve difficulties and problems, ensuring project progress," said Mr. Cu.

By early December, nine projects had been energized. Five projects are expected to be energized in December, including: Phu Hoa 110kV substation and connection (Phu Yen); Thuan Phuoc 110kV substation (Da Nang City); Tra Da 110kV substation and connection (Gia Lai); Buon Don 110kV substation and connection (Dak Lak) and Duy Xuyen - Hoi An 110kV line (Quang Nam).

Since the beginning of the year, 9 projects have been energized, including: 110kV Chi Lang - Hai Chau line (Da Nang city); 110kV My Khe substation and connection (Quang Ngai); Installation of T2 transformer at 110kV Krong Nang substation (Dak Lak); Installation of T2 transformer at 110kV Krong No substation (Dak Nong); Increasing capacity and completing the diagram of 110kV Bac Dong Hoi substation (Quang Binh); Increasing capacity at 110kV Tu Nghia substation (Quang Ngai); 110kV Bao Ninh substation and connection (Quang Binh); 110kV Phong Dien Industrial Park substation and connection (Thua Thien Hue) and Quy Nhon port 110kV substation and connection project (Binh Dinh).
