Hope that the Indian Senate will continue to support cooperation with Vietnam in all fields

On the afternoon of August 1, in New Delhi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Vice President and Chairman of the Senate of India Jagdeep Dhankhar during his State visit to India.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked the Vice President and Chairman of the Senate for sending condolences on the passing of Mr. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong expressed sincere friendship between the two countries.

Vice President and Chairman of the Senate Jagdeep Dhankhar recalled the good memories and sentiments still retained during his visit to Vietnam in 2022 and emphasized that Vietnam is a traditional friend, an important Comprehensive Strategic Partner of India, and the people of the two countries have a long-standing close relationship stemming from civilizational and spiritual connections.

Vice President and Chairman of the Senate Jagdeep Dhankhar highly appreciated the results of the talks between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the extremely positive results achieved, contributing to strengthening and deepening the relationship. Vietnam-India

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Indian Senate to continue supporting cooperation with Vietnam in all fields, first of all in traditional pillars such as defense-security and economy-trade, while expanding to new potential fields such as science and technology, information and communications, renewable energy, green economy, digital economy, and artificial intelligence.

The two sides agreed to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' National Assemblies, and share experiences between specialized committees and between National Assembly deputies.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the regards and invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to the Vice President and Chairman of the Senate to arrange a visit to Vietnam in the near future.
