Some 10th grade entrance exams show signs of irregularities.

Previously, on July 30, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training announced the conclusion of the inspection of the direction and implementation of the admission regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong regarding the grading of the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school in the 2024-2025 school year. This was a surprise inspection of the grading work, from June 9 to June 13.

According to the conclusion of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training, when checking the probability of some exams of some subjects marked on June 12 and June 13, it showed that the examiners did not follow the correct procedures and some exams showed signs of irregularities. The inspection team recommended that the Examination Council and the Department of Education and Training review the exams of history (specialized), other subjects (especially exams showing signs of irregularities) and handle and resolve them according to regulations.

Regarding the above incident, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong has reported on the implementation of this content according to regulations.

After information was announced that some 10th grade entrance exams in Hai Phong had "abnormal signs", there were some conflicting opinions, concerned that these abnormalities could affect the exam results.

Accordingly, when the inspection team carried out their work, they discovered a number of unusual signs. Specifically, in the test, candidates were writing straight lines but suddenly wrote italicized lines, or the first letter of the test was capitalized in a bold, flowing style, some candidates wrote one line at a time without writing continuously, used a pencil to underline some words in the test...

From the assessment and perception of the inspection team members, the above details may be "abnormal signs" in some of the exams of the 10th grade entrance exam marking council in Hai Phong. The inspection team has made recommendations to the exam marking council and the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong. The recommendations have been immediately accepted by implementing joint marking of the exams with abnormal signs to have the most objective and comprehensive assessment.

Therefore, the errors are only isolated and individual findings and are accepted and corrected by the Examination Council.
