On the afternoon of July 15, right after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the score distribution of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) officially announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score for admission) and the score conversion formula for regular university admission methods implemented this year.
The minimum score for 4 admission methods: 15 points and 18 points
Specifically, in 2025, HUTECH will enroll students in 4 ways, including: Considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; Considering the 12th grade transcript according to a combination of 3 subjects with the average score of the 12th grade year of 3 subjects reaching 18 points or higher; Considering the 12th grade transcript according to the average score of the whole year with the average score of the 12th grade reaching 6 points or higher; Considering the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment exam or the VSAT 2025 exam.
Corresponding to each method, HUTECH applies two minimum scores as follows: 18 points for the method of considering high school transcripts (methods 2 and 3); 15 points for the method of considering high school graduation exam results and considering the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Exam/VSAT exam (score converted to a 30-point scale).
For majors in the Health group, the input quality assurance threshold is implemented according to separate regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Conversion formula for scores of admission methods
Pursuant to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training on converting scores between admission methods, HUTECH announces the corresponding score conversion formula to ensure compatibility of the scoring scale, creating conditions for admission methods to operate effectively on the same reference system, while ensuring the principles of fairness, transparency and maximum convenience for candidates.
Specifically, the benchmark scores between different admission methods are converted from the percentile table in relation to the specific percentile score range values performing functional interpolation.
Accordingly, the benchmark score x in the [a,b) percentile range of this admission method will be interpolated to the benchmark score y in the [c,d) percentile range corresponding to another admission method according to the formula:

In 2025, HUTECH will enroll 61 diverse majors, including hot majors such as Information Technology, Digital Marketing, Multimedia Communications, Graphic Design, Automotive Engineering Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, English Language, Japanese Language, etc.
The school offers HUTECH Scholarships worth 25% of the full tuition fee to all candidates who meet one of three conditions: the average score of 3 subjects in the first semester of grade 12 is from 20 points or higher; the average score of 3 subjects in the whole year of grade 12 is from 20 points or higher; the average score of the whole year of grade 12 x 3 is from 20 points or higher.
After applying the HUTECH Scholarship, the tuition fee for the 2025 course for Bachelor training programs (3.5 years, 14 semesters) is 11 million VND/semester; Engineering training programs (4 years, 16 semesters) is 10 million VND/semester; specialized training programs including Architecture, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine (4.5 years, 18 semesters) is 12 million VND/semester.
In particular, the school commits that this tuition fee will NOT INCREASE during the entire course, creating favorable conditions for students to study and develop themselves in a quality training environment.
In addition to HUTECH Scholarship, the University also implements many diverse scholarship policies such as Talent Scholarship, Support Scholarship, Education Scholarship, Family Scholarship with values up to 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% of full tuition for new students.
At the same time, HUTECH implements a special incentive policy: Immediately give 5,000,000 VND to all candidates who register HUTECH (school code DKC) as their first choice on the information portal of the Ministry of Education and Training.
