On February 1, news from the Traffic Police Department (Traffic Police, Ministry of Public Security ) said that on the same day (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year 2025), there were 4 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 21 people and injuring 45 people. Compared to the 4th day of the Lunar New Year 2024, there were 21 fewer cases, 6 fewer deaths, and 20 fewer injuries.

On the same day, February 1, the police nationwide inspected, detected and handled 5,671 cases of traffic violations; temporarily detained 40 cars, 2,575 motorbikes, 38 other vehicles; revoked 332 driving licenses of all types, deducted driving license points from 864 cases. Of which, 2,185 cases were handled for alcohol concentration violations; 1,247 cases for speeding; 2 cases for overloading goods...

Regarding the traffic situation in Hanoi and neighboring localities, the inner city routes of Hanoi leading to the central area have normal traffic flow, smooth traffic, and no congestion.

On the afternoon of January 31, traffic volume on Ring Road 3, Phap Van - Ninh Binh Expressway increased and moved stably.

According to the Traffic Police Department, it is forecasted that from the evening of February 1, the number of vehicles traveling to Hanoi will increase on some key routes. In addition to maintaining mobile motorcycle teams to approach and resolve traffic situations, the Traffic Police force will monitor the traffic volume on the route, coordinate and advise road users to proactively choose appropriate routes.

In Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities, on the afternoon of January 31, on the city's gateway routes (Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay and Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong - My Thuan expressways; National Highway 1A), traffic volume increased and moved stably. The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities mobilized maximum forces and vehicles to coordinate traffic regulation, avoiding traffic jams.
