In 2025, FDI enterprises in Thanh Hoa need to recruit nearly 27,000 workers.

On the morning of February 26, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a conference between the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) and FDI enterprises in Thanh Hoa on the implementation of labor regimes, policies, laws, labor relations and trade union activities at enterprises.

As of February 20, 2025, 39 FDI enterprises have 171,277 employees. According to the assessment of the Provincial Federation of Labor, union members and employees celebrated the Lunar New Year 2025 safely and economically; after Tet, 98% of employees returned to work.

In January and February, enterprises maintained good employment for employees, with 33/39 enterprises increasing overtime in some departments, specifically: 17/33 enterprises increased overtime by 0.5 - 1.5 hours/day; 15/33 enterprises increased overtime by 2 - 3.5 hours/day; 1/33 enterprises increased overtime by 4 hours/day (2 days/week). In 2025, 23 enterprises need to recruit 26,930 workers.

39/39 enterprises have made timely contributions to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance to the social insurance agency and paid full monthly sick leave and maternity benefits to employees. The total number of employees of the 39 enterprises who have paid social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance is 167,376, reaching a rate of 97.8%. The remaining 3,297 people (accounting for 2.2%) have not participated in social insurance because they have just started working at the enterprise.

Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Provincial Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dang Khoa reported on the implementation of policies and laws at FDI enterprises with a large number of workers and laborers.

In the past 2 months, trade union activities have been vibrant, focusing on taking care of, representing, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees. 39/39 grassroots trade unions have organized "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" in 2025 in the spirit of not letting any union member or employee go without Tet; organizing timely visits to the sick, mourners, and weddings; coordinating with businesses to visit and give gifts to employees in especially difficult circumstances.

Grassroots trade unions also launched emulation movements for good workers and creative workers, with the goal of high productivity, high quality, and achievements to celebrate major holidays of the homeland and country; maintained coordination in inspecting and supervising canteens; changed dishes according to the menu, ensuring the health of workers. Coordinated with enterprises to arrange breaks for workers between shifts, shuttle buses for union members and workers to participate in the program "Workers' Festival - Charity Market" in 2025 at Lam Son Square, Thanh Hoa City...

At the conference, delegates reflected on the situation of labor relations, opinions and recommendations of grassroots unions and employers on the advantages and difficulties of FDI enterprises in production and business activities, living conditions, employment, and implementation of policies and regimes for employees.
