Improve life skills and legal awareness for union members

From early morning, the yard of Phan Chau Trinh Secondary School (Nong Son Commune) was bustling with laughter. Here, hundreds of students were taught knowledge about drug prevention, school violence, domestic violence, child abuse... The content was vividly illustrated with images and visual situations, helping students to easily absorb.

In addition, the Commune Police also provide guidance on safe traffic rules and how to wear helmets properly, which are easy to remember and apply in practice, contributing to raising awareness and forming life skills for students.

Major Le Xuan Dai, Deputy Chief of Nong Son Commune Police, said that recently the unit has focused on innovating propaganda methods to help students easily receive and remember. Not only conveying theory, the activities also incorporate visual images, hypothetical situations, and lively question-and-answer sessions, creating excitement for the students.

“Through visual propaganda sessions, we hope that students will absorb knowledge in a gentle way, thereby forming self-protection skills and knowing how to live more responsibly towards themselves, their families and society,” Major Dai emphasized.

In Que Phuoc commune, the Commune Police recently coordinated with the Youth Union to organize a propaganda session on high-tech crime prevention and fire prevention and fighting skills for more than 300 union members and young people. At the program, the youth union members were imparted with basic knowledge about the cyber security situation, tricks of impersonating police agencies, prosecutors, banks... to defraud and appropriate property to help young people identify and prevent effectively.

At the same time, youth union members were also instructed on basic fire prevention and fighting skills, how to use fire extinguishers, how to escape in case of fire or explosion at home, workplace, residential area, etc. Many young people enthusiastically participated in the practice, creating a lively atmosphere at the propaganda session.

Union member Le Na (Phuoc Hoi village) shared: “I am very impressed with the real-life situations that the Commune Police presented. Through that, I know how to be alert to scam calls, fake messages and am more confident when handling fire and explosion situations. This useful knowledge not only helps me raise my sense of responsibility for myself but can also be shared with my family and friends to effectively prevent crimes and fire and explosion accidents together.”

Mr. Nguyen Dinh An, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of Que Phuoc Commune Youth Union, said that the program attracted the participation of a large number of union members. Many young people boldly exchanged and asked questions, showing a spirit of learning and responsibility in the face of the issues raised. Thereby, knowledge and skills were not only acquired but also widely spread, becoming practical provisions in daily life.

It can be seen that, from schools in Nong Son to villages in Que Phuoc, with creative ways, the propaganda of law and life skills has really spread among young people. This is also a way for young people to be more confident to promote the spirit of vanguard and responsibility to the community.
