Upgrading dormitories, creating a comfortable living environment for students

Over the years, dormitories have always been a category that the Board of Directors of Ha Tinh Medical College has paid attention to, considering it an important part of the training strategy associated with taking care of students' lives.

Currently, the school has 3 5-storey dormitories with a total of 135 rooms, of which one is reserved for Vietnamese students and two are arranged for Lao students. Each room has an area of ​​nearly ^40m2 , for 4-6 students to stay. Since being upgraded, each room has been fully equipped with amenities such as: air conditioning, hot and cold water system, electric fans, beds, wardrobes and study tables and chairs... creating a neat, tidy and convenient living space for studying and living. In addition, the dormitory campus is designed to be airy, with lots of trees, both close and creating a sense of safety and friendliness for students away from home.

In particular, the school always puts security and safety first. The fire prevention and fighting system is equipped synchronously. In each building, there are security forces and management teams on duty, coordinating with the student self-management team to monitor and remind about living habits. Thanks to that, the dormitory always maintains quietness and discipline, while still creating a comfortable space for students to interact and learn from each other.

For new students, the dormitory is the first support when entering the lecture hall. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - a first-year student, Nursing class 19A shared: "I just entered the school so I was worried about accommodation. When I entered the dormitory, I found everything very complete, convenient and safe. With a clean room and friendly friends, I can focus on studying."

Not only a place to live, the dormitory is also considered a "community center" for students. The canteen meets daily food needs, the medical room promptly supports health care, while the sports areas, volleyball courts, and soccer fields become physical training venues, helping students balance between studying and entertainment. These amenities have made the dormitory increasingly chosen, currently almost all of the rooms have students living in them, showing the trust of both parents and students in the school's boarding facilities.

Lecturer Phan Anh Tuan - Dormitory Manager of Ha Tinh Medical College said: "We always consider students as our own children, both managing and supporting them to have the best living conditions. In addition to checking and supervising, we also organize many exchange and collective activities to create a friendly environment, encouraging students to practice on their own. In the dormitory, students learn discipline, sharing and many useful life skills."

It is known that currently the dormitory of Ha Tinh Medical College has nearly 400 Laotian students and nearly 200 Vietnamese students staying... This is one of the dormitories with the largest number of Laotian students in the province, demonstrating the close cooperation in training medical human resources between Vietnam and Laos.

Naixaithong Naly, a student of the 8B College of Pharmacy, said: “During more than 2 years in the dormitory, I learned how to organize my activities, manage my time and adapt to a collective environment. Here, I have the opportunity to make friends with many other students, study together, participate in group activities and support each other when facing difficulties. These experiences help me become more mature and confident... This will be one of my beautiful memories when studying in Ha Tinh.”

In fact, investing in dormitories not only solves the problem of accommodation but also contributes to improving the quality of training. When students are assured of a comfortable and safe living environment, they will be less worried, thereby devoting more time and effort to studying.
