Dalat Pedagogical College, an architectural work bearing strong French influences, continues to be an attractive destination for tourists and the pride of the city of thousands of flowers.

Located near Xuan Huong Lake, the school not only stands out for its unique architecture but also carries a rich history and profound educational significance. From the campus, visitors can admire the panoramic view of Da Lat's symbols such as Con Ga Church, Cam Ly Waterfall and the majestic Lang Biang peak.

This project is the "brainchild" of French architect Moncet, designed with a unique idea: an arc-shaped lecture hall, symbolizing an open book, expressing the desire for knowledge and erudition.

The highlight of the school is the main building with a special arc shape and a 54m high bell tower standing on top. The entire structure is built with bricks and tiles imported from France, with a sloping roof covered with blue-black lithographic tiles, red exposed brick walls and a system of skylights with the main orange-red color, creating a brilliant whole in the heart of Da Lat.

The main building of the school is 77m long in the front and 90m in the back, with three floors and 24 classrooms. After nearly a century, this is still the place where thousands of students and lecturers study and teach, continuing to affirm its important role in the education career.

The bell tower, located at the highest point of the campus, is not only an architectural highlight but also a place where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Da Lat, including the legendary Lang Biang peak.

Not only an educational institution, Dalat Pedagogical College is also an attractive tourist destination. Every day, visitors from all over the world still flock here to visit and admire the unique beauty of the school.

In addition to the main building, the campus also has simple but beautiful two-story classrooms, along with ancient villas for lecturers. The windows are designed delicately and straightly, creating an attractive space.

After many name changes from Petit Lycée Da Lat, Grand Lycée de Da Lat, Grand Lycée Yersin (in memory of Dr. Alexandre Yersin), the school was finally officially renamed Da Lat Pedagogical College and was recognized as one of the national architectural monuments.

Besides the classrooms, the school campus also has ancient villas, which are where the school's lecturers have lived and taught from the past until now.

Ms. Tran Thuy Trang, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared her feelings: “The first time I visited, I found this school very beautiful and attractive. It is more beautiful than what I imagined through my mother's story because she used to study here. Every architectural detail of the school is very impressive and unique.”

However, Ms. Trang also expressed her hope that the school and authorities would soon renovate and repair degraded areas and plant more trees to make the outside space cooler, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of this national architectural relic.
