The Culture, Sports and Tourism sector creates development momentum in the new era

The conference to review 2024 and deploy 2025 tasks of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector will take place on the morning of December 18 at the Government Office , Hanoi. According to the plan, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend and chair the conference.

With the theme “Building an advanced culture imbued with national identity – The driving force for development in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise,” the Conference will be connected online to more than 770 points in provinces, centrally-run cities and districts with more than 15,000 delegates attending.

The conference was held to review and evaluate the results of the implementation of assigned tasks in 2024 of the entire sector; the results of implementing the Prime Minister's Directive Conclusion at the 2023 Year-end Conference of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector; analyze the results achieved, the shortcomings, difficulties, obstacles, subjective and objective causes in each field of work.

At the same time, determine the key directions, tasks and solutions for 2025; strive to successfully implement the development goals and tasks of culture, family, sports and tourism in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, Resolution No. 50/NQ-CP dated May 20, 2021 of the Government, the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025. Along with that, promptly resolve the recommendations and proposals of localities under the authority and state management responsibility of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Previously, at the Conference on tourism promotion in 2025 held last week, leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assessed that Vietnam still has a lot of room to strongly develop tourism in the coming time with a larger scale, higher revenue efficiency, less environmental impact and more sustainability. In particular, activities to promote and introduce destinations, and the combination between the State and businesses, between businesses and the tourism community are very important.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized: “State management agencies with the role of guiding, leading and connecting will create the best environment for tourism promotion and advertising… In addition, it is necessary to connect travel agencies, transportation, and restaurants to build combo packages to increase attractiveness and competitiveness. The nature of tourism is connection. Therefore, it is necessary to overcome the situation of going it alone, each doing it on their own. If you want to go far, you have to go together.”./.
