Activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 will be organized in March 2024 (peak month) and last throughout 2024 with the theme: "Transparent information - Safe consumption".

Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 has the theme "Transparent Information - Safe Consumption".

On July 10, 2015, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1035/QD-TTg recognizing March 15 as Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day.

Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, every year the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinates with ministries, branches and People's Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities to develop and implement activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day.

Based on the newly promulgated Law on Consumer Rights Protection 2023, which will take effect from July 1, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Plan No. 6022/KH-BCT proposing activities and selecting the theme for activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024: "Transparent information - Safe consumption".

Customers visit products at the space to promote and introduce agricultural products and OCOP products at Lam Son Square, Thanh Hoa City.

Accordingly, activities for consumer rights are encouraged to be organized and implemented throughout 2024; focusing on peak periods of business and consumption, such as: New Year, Lunar New Year, shopping seasons or peak shopping occasions in the market.

Activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 will be organized in March 2024 (peak month) and last throughout 2024, depending on the actual situation at agencies, organizations and localities.

With the theme “Transparent Information - Safe Consumption”, the Ministry of Industry and Trade calls for, mobilizes and encourages the participation of State agencies, social organizations, businesses and consumers in related activities; gradually making Vietnam Consumer Rights Day an important driving force and highlight in economic and social life, supporting the business activities of legitimate production and trading enterprises, while ensuring the basic rights of consumers, especially the right to access information in a transparent and safe manner.
