Nghe An: Highlights on August 17

* On the morning of August 17, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command held a conference to review the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army. The conference focused on comprehensively assessing the situation and results of implementing the 1999 Law on Officers, which was amended and supplemented with a number of articles in 2008 and 2014, and detailed regulations and implementation instructions.

* According to the report of Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance, the total amount of pension and social insurance allowance payments for August 2023 in the whole province is more than 878 billion VND, of which more than 90 billion VND is paid for the additional unearned difference of July 2023.

* On the morning of August 17, at Que Phong High School, the Department of Education and Training - Department of Science and Technology - Continuing Education Center No. 2 organized a scientific workshop on content and solutions to improve the quality of general education management in extremely disadvantaged areas in Nghe An province.

* In order to create a highlight in landscape architecture and create momentum to promote trade and tourism development between Nghe An and Ha Tinh, on August 4, 2023, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a decision approving the plan to select a contractor for the project to build a decorative electrical system for Cua Hoi bridge, across Lam river.

* Currently, 13.6 hectares of papaya trees of Tay Hieu Commune Agricultural Cooperative have entered the harvest season. The output of nearly 2,000 tons of fruit has not been purchased according to the contract commitment, making people restless, at risk of losing over 7 billion VND.
