Da Nang fishermen spend millions to hire a crane to bring their boat ashore to avoid the storm.

On September 18, upon hearing that the tropical depression was about to strengthen into a storm (storm number 4), fishermen in Da Nang city urgently gathered their fishing nets.

According to Dan Tri reporters at Tho Quang beach area (Son Tra district, Da Nang), many fishermen hired cranes to move their boats to shelters. The boats were brought back and placed along the sidewalk of Hoang Sa street.

Having a lot of experience in dealing with storms, Da Nang fishermen always choose the safest way which is to hire a crane to carry their boats ashore, or even take them home.

According to fishermen, the price of a crane to bring a boat ashore will depend on the size of the boat, from 300,000 VND to 700,000 VND/lift.

“For example, my family hired a crane to bring a large boat ashore for 700,000 VND. After the storm, it will cost another 700,000 VND to bring it back to sea. So, each time I avoid the storm, I have to spend 1.4 million VND to lift the boat up and down,” a fisherman shared.

Small baskets pulled in from the sea by fishermen will be anchored at the embankment.

Hotels along the Danang coast are also busy shoring up and shoring up their glass doors. Staff will use tape to seal the gaps in the glass doors to prevent breakage in strong winds.

The door is also blocked with two sturdy bamboo bars. The opening below is blocked with sandbags.

The hotel's green plants are also carefully protected by staff.

The flower decoration on Bach Dang Street was moved to another location by the Da Nang Parks and Trees Company to avoid wind damage.

The bougainvillea pots were also placed on the ground by the staff to avoid being knocked over by the wind.
