On the afternoon of September 30, Vietnam Television held a meeting to inform the audience about the series of key programs celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. The event was chaired by Mr. Do Thanh Hai - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi City; screenwriter Bang Mai Phuong - Chairman of the Hanoi Cinema Association; Meritorious Artist Trinh Quang Tung - Deputy General Director of the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio.

Sharing at the press conference, Mr. Do Thanh Hai - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television said that, not only carrying the task of political propaganda, the programs and works produced by Vietnam Television on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital are also expected to convey the feelings of VTV crews for Hanoi, attracting the expectations and attention of the public.
Mr. Do Thanh Hai said that for the programs on this anniversary, VTV has had more special ways of implementation, helping the audience approach a diverse perspective of Hanoi . In addition to propaganda in political news bulletins, in diverse programs on air, bringing content on multiple platforms, making the content lively is also VTV's desire.

In addition to the news bulletins and columns on the 7pm News, Good Morning, and 24h Movement to promote the event, Vietnam Television has coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi to prepare for "Hanoi Documentary Week on VTVgo" . The production team spent a lot of time reviewing and selecting 20 outstanding documentaries produced by Vietnam Television, the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, Sao Khue Film Studio - Hanoi Cinema Association, and independent filmmaker: Mr. Jean - Noel Poirier (former French Ambassador), to premiere on the national digital platform VTVgo; organized exchanges with film crews and 3 films to be shown live at studio S7 - Vietnam Television on October 4, 5, and 6, 2024; Create a communication chain on airwaves, digital platforms and VTV.vn e-newspaper to reach the largest audience.
Towards the historic October, Vietnam Television has produced three new documentaries: “Our House” (3 episodes), “Where Peace Begins” and “Doctor Tran Duy Hung – A Hanoi Dignity”. All three films were broadcast on promotional channels and participated in the event “Hanoi Documentary Week on VTVgo”.
Wishing to tell the story of Hanoi in its rich history with creative expressions, the art exchange programs bring unique perspectives. The special art political program "Hanoi - Epic of the City" brings the audience back to the heroic historical milestones. The setting of the film “Peach, Pho and Piano” depicts the fierce war period in the streets of the Capital in late 1946 and early 1947.
