On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) , the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Son town have had many practical activities, visited, presented gifts, and expressed gratitude to war invalids, relatives of martyrs, frontline workers, youth volunteers, and Dien Bien soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
In the town, there are 2 wounded soldiers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign (still alive); 44 martyrs whose worshipers are enjoying the worship regime; 118 people who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign are still alive, including: 64 Dien Bien soldiers; 11 people on the frontline; 43 youth volunteers.

martyrs in Hai Nhan commune.
Comrade Truong Ba Duyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghi Son Town Party Committee visited and presented gifts to martyrs' relatives in Xuan Lam ward.
In addition to the organization of giving 118 gifts, worth 118 million VND from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; giving 155 gifts, worth 155 million VND from the province, the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the town established 14 working delegations led by the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee and members of the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee, to visit and give gifts to war invalids and families of martyrs who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in communes and wards with 164 gifts, worth over 66 million VND.
Comrade Nguyen The Anh, Chairman of Nghi Son Town People's Committee, offered incense and paid tribute to martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, in Nguyen Binh ward.
The town also directed communes and wards to organize visits and present gifts from the town to express gratitude to the surviving Dien Bien soldiers, frontline laborers, and youth volunteers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
In addition, the town has also directed branches, agencies and units to strengthen the organization of activities to educate the young generation on patriotic and revolutionary traditions through practical and meaningful actions; to praise the exemplary youth who are children of war invalids and relatives of martyrs in the long-term resistance war against the French of our nation in the fields of study, work and production. Directed grassroots youth organizations to mobilize cadres, union members, youth and students to organize environmental cleaning and embellishment at the town's Martyrs' Cemetery and the Memorials of communes and wards.
The Town Veterans Association coordinated with the Youth Union and Hai Hoa Secondary School to organize an exchange program, to continue the tradition and tell historical stories on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory.
On this occasion, 31 communes and wards in the town have been visiting and giving gifts to war invalids, families of martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, frontline workers, and youth volunteers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; offering flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at martyrs' memorial works. At the same time, implementing well the preferential policies and regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area. Coordinating with organizations, political - social organizations, enterprises to mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees and people to support the "Repaying gratitude" fund.
