Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of December 25, the Hanoi Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee held a conference to review internal affairs work; prevent and combat corruption and negativity; judicial reform in 2024; directions and tasks for 2025. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong chaired the conference.
Attending the conference, Central delegates included Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Quang Duc.
Delegates from Hanoi City included Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Qui Tien; Permanent Deputy Head in charge of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Phi Minh Hai.
At the conference, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Tran Van Kham presented a report on the results of internal affairs work; anti-corruption and negativity; judicial reform in 2024, and directions and tasks for 2025.
Do not let "hot spots" arise that complicate security and order.
According to the report, the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee have focused on comprehensive leadership and direction in all areas of work, including internal affairs; preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; judicial reform; receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations. In particular, the leadership successfully organized the 2024 City Defense Zone exercise, ensuring security and safety; directed the protection of security and safety for over 2,000 events; the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; judicial reform; receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations achieved quite important results, contributing positively to the socio -economic development of the Capital.
The City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee is the Standing body of two Steering Committees (the City Party Committee's Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity and the City Party Committee's Judicial Reform Steering Committee), is the advisory body to the Steering Committee for implementing Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU and Directive No. 15-CT/TU of the City Party Committee, has proactively advised and proposed work plans and programs of the Steering Committees, achieving quality and efficiency of work; advised on the issuance of Directives and plans to organize and implement tasks on internal affairs; preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity; and judicial reform.
The city's internal affairs agencies, districts, town committees, and party committees directly under the City Party Committee have regularly followed the direction of the Central Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to advise and direct the good implementation of internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption and anti-negativity work, citizen reception, and settlement of complaints and denunciations in the city, achieving positive results contributing to economic growth and social security in the city.
The Standing Committees of the district, town and city Party Committees and their subordinate Party Committees have focused on leading and directing internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; judicial reform, ensuring political security and social order and safety in the area; and well performing the Party building work, building the political system associated with the socio-economic development tasks of the locality. The work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations has received attention and direction. The implementation of Regulation No. 11-QDi/TW, dated February 18, 2019 of the Politburo on "Responsibilities of Party Committee leaders in receiving citizens, having direct dialogue with people and handling people's reflections and recommendations" has been seriously organized and implemented by Party Committees at all levels. Dialogue between Party and government leaders and the people has been well maintained, directing and promptly resolving people's recommendations, reflections, complaints and denunciations, not allowing "hot spots" to arise that complicate security and order.
Prepare well the conditions for Party Congresses at all levels
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong reviewed the important achievements in 2024. In particular, important political and legal foundations for the development of the Capital have been established (Capital Law 2024, 2 major planning projects of Hanoi). In addition, the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity and waste has been and is being vigorously implemented, bringing many specific results. Major events at home and abroad in the capital are all guaranteed absolute safety, contributing to creating a stable environment, attracting investment and developing tourism. Mass mobilization work and promoting the role of the Party, government and people in the common tasks of the city have achieved good results.
However, according to Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, waste still occurs, requiring more drastic solutions; crime, especially high-tech crime and law violations by teenagers, tends to increase, requiring the participation of the entire political system. At the same time, the application of information technology and digital transformation in the operations of agencies and units is still slow and needs to be further promoted.
Emphasizing that 2025 is the year of Party Congresses at all levels, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong noted that Party committees at all levels need to prepare well for the Party Congresses at all levels, especially in personnel work. Therein, it is necessary to strengthen the grasp of the situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people, strengthen the organization of dialogues, and proactively resolve issues at the grassroots level. Along with that, all levels and sectors continue to promote the work of preventing and combating negativity and waste; resolutely implement digital transformation...
On this occasion, 60 collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in internal affairs, judicial reform and anti-corruption and negativity.
