Regarding the addition of the movie time slot, the VFC representative said that the new time slot will be more suitable for many audiences . The 20-hour slot is expected to help movies reach a large audience and create the habit of watching TV series at a fixed time slot. The production unit will prepare richer, newer content, choosing scripts suitable for the new broadcast time slot.

MANY NEW TOPICS

The next films to air in the new prime time slot will be Cold Sun with a love story in dreamy Da Lat; Rainbow on the Horizon with gentle content about love and youth, directed by Vu Minh Tri.

It can be seen that the content of Vietnamese TV series shown in the new time slot begins with new and attractive stories about family love and human love in modern life and society such as My Father Who Stays (directed by Vu Truong Khoa) or Dusty Roads (directed by Trinh Le Phong). People stumble, go through events, find each other and become a real family.

"They met and created a journey full of laughter and love. This is a film with a rather new theme, without a main setting but the setting is spread across the country. The actors and crew traveled more than 1,000 km with many beautiful roads, majestic landscapes... to create a journey, a trip of humanity, of love. So it can be called a journey film and has a very different way of telling it," director Trinh Le Phong said about his work.

And in the 9pm slot on VTV1, after Timeless ends, there will be the film Mother of the Sea by director Nguyen Phuong Dien with touching, humane stories about the lives of people in the southern coastal region after the storm.

Regarding the innovation of TV drama content in the coming time, VFC Deputy Director - Director Khai Anh said: "If done well, any content can attract audiences, whether it is family, love, politics or crime. We always try to diversify and change topics so that the audience can constantly change their taste, so in the near future we will invest in scripts, find actors and diversify topics to launch more attractive films this year."

SHORT FILM TRENDS

In the digital age, audiences have many choices with a variety of entertainment genres. Although TV series are a "favorite dish", if they do not change, their appeal will decrease. Talking about this, director Trinh Le Phong said: "Audiences now have many choices, with just a phone or tablet, they can watch movies or entertainment programs from any country. Therefore, if the quality is not improved, TV series will lose their appeal."

To meet the diverse enjoyment and attract many audiences, especially young audiences with little time, Hoa Binh Film and Digi Picture are organizing a casting to produce a short TV series that will be shown on HTV7 in 2025. A representative of this production unit said that this is a strategic step to innovate the TV industry, which is mainly flooded with long-form products. "We realize that today's audiences are looking for content that is easy to access, effective in conveying messages and highly entertaining. Short films are not only suitable for modern life but also create conditions for creative stories to be expressed in a concise and attractive way," he said. Accordingly, the 3 short TV series that will be released soon are Test (6 episodes), Mrs. Ha's House is So Fun (12 episodes) and Hello Tomorrow (12 episodes) with rich content about family, love, and young people in modern life conveyed through humorous and romantic scenes.

Talking about the trend of making short TV series, director Khai Anh said: "In the near future, besides long series, to meet the needs of many young audiences, we also plan to produce short series (mini series from 16 - 20 episodes)."
