On the afternoon of September 23, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Plan No. 256/KH-UBND on implementing the program "Digital booth - raising the level of the capital's traders". This is identified as a breakthrough solution, actively contributing to the goal of increasing the proportion of the digital economy in the city's GRDP, aiming to reach 30% by 2025 and 40% by 2030.

The program not only supports businesses, cooperatives and business households in accessing the digital business environment, but also expands product consumption markets through e-commerce, especially on cross-border platforms.

According to the plan, in 2025, Hanoi will form a common booth on the Shopee e-commerce platform. The specific goal is to put over 60% of products in each OCOP group (except fresh products) on the booth. One of the mandatory requirements is that 100% of participating establishments must apply digital technologies such as digital signatures, electronic contracts, electronic invoices and traceability. These establishments will also be comprehensively trained in business skills and booth operations.

In the 2026-2030 period, the program will be expanded in scale. "Hanoi Capital Product Booth" will be developed on many other popular e-commerce platforms and social networks. The goal at this stage is that 100% of OCOP products and 50% of businesses in other fields of the city will participate in the booth. In addition, the program will connect with the Hanoi Technology Exchange to promote the science and technology market, and at the same time advise on intellectual property protection, traceability and expand into "Capital Region Product Booth".

To realize the above plan, the Hanoi People's Committee has assigned specific tasks to departments, branches and sectors to ensure the plan is implemented effectively: The Department of Science and Technology takes the lead in implementing the plan, coordinates with Shopee to design and operate booths and connects digital technology enterprises to support businesses; The Department of Industry and Trade is responsible for encouraging businesses to transform digitally, while strengthening supervision and combating counterfeit and fake goods; The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with authorities at all levels to survey demand, ensuring that OCOP products participating in the booth must have quality certificates, food hygiene and safety and clear origin; The People's Committees of communes and wards will directly mobilize and propose participating establishments and inspect and supervise goods in the area.

Stakeholders, including Shopee Company Limited and digital technology enterprises, also pledged to provide maximum support for the program. For their part, production and business establishments participating in the booth must commit to ensuring product quality, taking legal responsibility and complying with current regulations.
