Boiler explosion in Dong Nai causes many casualties

At around 8:10 a.m. on May 1, a loud explosion occurred at a wood manufacturing company in Dong Nai , killing six people on the spot. The incident is believed to have been a boiler explosion.

The explosion killed 6 people at the scene, 1 person is undergoing emergency surgery; 4 people are waiting to be taken into urgent surgery.

The leader of the Dong Nai Province Department of Health said that the health sector has "issued a red alert". Currently, the emergency department of Thong Nhat General Hospital has dispatched an ambulance and doctors and nurses to continue to help transport the victims to the hospital.

According to Thong Nhat General Hospital, early in the morning of May 1, the hospital's Emergency Department admitted 5 patients with injuries of varying degrees of severity.

Of these, the most serious patient was transferred to the operating room for emergency treatment. The remaining four cases were urgently treated at the Emergency Department.

After receiving information about a work accident that caused many casualties, the hospital put on a red alert throughout the hospital, mobilizing all doctors, nurses, especially surgeons and intensive care doctors... to provide emergency care to the patients.

In addition, the hospital mobilized 4 ambulances to the scene of the accident to provide first aid to the remaining people. Initial information showed that there were about 30 workers working at the accident site.
