Tan Bien District Police, Tay Ninh Province are coordinating with other units to investigate and determine the cause of an explosion in a resident's house that seriously injured six teenagers.
According to initial information, at nearly 3:00 p.m. on December 23, people in Thanh Tay commune, Tan Bien district heard a loud explosion at Mr. PPĐ's house.
Immediately after, many people ran to check and discovered a group of 6 teenagers inside with injuries, most of them with burns. All the victims were immediately taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Due to severe burns, four teenagers were transferred to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC), while the remaining two teenagers were treated at Tay Ninh General Hospital.
It is known that the 6 victims were between 14 and 16 years old. Some residents said that the explosion may have originated from the victims buying firecrackers to re-make.
According to observations, the explosion caused the wall of the house to collapse, the roof was also blown off. At a location in the house there was a black burn mark suspected to be the explosion site.
The cause of the incident is being investigated by the authorities.
