On the evening of October 15, the Chamber music concert took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

The program is part of a cooperative exchange activity between the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and the University of Nebraska Lincoln with the aim of improving training quality and opening up many learning and career opportunities for students.

Many pieces were performed in the form of chamber music such as: Noi vong tay lon by musician Trinh Cong Son; Histoire du Tango by Astor Piazzolla; Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, Prélude by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The Chamber music concert lasted nearly 3 hours with many performances by 7 artists from many different fields of music such as: violin, keyboard, cello, vocals, dance, composition... from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

Not only featuring chamber music, the concert was also unique for its combination of contemporary music and dance through the performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, Prélude .

At the end of the program, the artists performed a chamber music ensemble with the song "Noi vong tay lon" by musician Trinh Cong Son.

MSc. Vo Ngoc Dieu Tinh, Head of the International Cooperation Office, Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, shared more with Tuoi Tre Online about the purpose of concerts like Chamber music:

"The concerts are an opportunity for lecturers from both schools to share experiences and exchange about music from each country.

Chamber Music is the opening program as a welcome to the audience of Ho Chi Minh City and in the future there will be larger scale collaborative performances between Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

Dr. Felix Olschofka, professor of violin, director of the Glenn Korff School of Music, and one of the performing artists in the Chamber Music program, said:

"After 4 visits, teaching Masterclasses and performing chamber music with Vietnamese artists, I found the level of classical music teaching and performance here to be very high.

In the cooperation activities with the Conservatory, I hope to have more exchange programs and cultural exchanges between students and lecturers in music arts so that we can develop together professionally."
