Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long and People's Artist Trong Phuc perform the musical 'Dream of Vanity'

"The musical 'Mong Phu Hoa' combines many art forms: drama, music and reformed opera to fully develop the strengths and acting abilities of the artists, including Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long and People's Artist Trong Phuc," said director Ngo Quoc Khanh.

Mong phu hoa - the musical and also the third live show of singer Hong Quyen - will be performed on the evening of October 26, at Ben Thanh Theater (6 Mac Dinh Chi, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The play tells the story of a female singer in a poor countryside whose talent was discovered by a show producer and brought to the city to develop her career. From there, many scandals, illusions, fame and even hardships have brought her into the whirlpool of showbiz full of ups and downs and many events.

In Mong Phu Hoa , in addition to two "big names" People's Artist Trong Phuc and Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long, the play also brings together artists: singer - actor Thanh Thuc, singer Khuu Huy Vu, Xuan Hoa, Hien Trang, artists Thanh Ngoc, Dung Nhi, Le Nam, Bgirl group, MC Song Khanh...

Dream of Vanity will touch the audience's hearts

Exactly 10 years ago, singer Hong Quyen successfully organized her first live show with the theme of Tu Tinh Co Gai Bac Lieu at Stage 126 (HCMC). In 2023, Hong Quyen continued to organize the live show Tu Tinh Co Gai Bac Lieu 2 to record and release on YouTube. The musical Mong Phu Hoa is also Hong Quyen's third live show, which she has been nurturing for nearly 2 years.

Hong Quyen said that the investment for the play was about 1 billion VND, which is all of Hong Quyen's savings over many years. "Hopefully with a cast of famous artists, very suitable for musicals, the audience will love and take the time to come and enjoy it to support Hong Quyen as well as the production team, together creating an emotional art experience," she shared.
