The singing part of Meritorious Artist Thoai My was carefully considered by the crew for each word, the last part was sung in the true spirit of Cai Luong. Actor Tieu Minh Phung wrote the lyrics for Meritorious Artist Thoai My to sing, keeping the characteristic 8 beats.

According to H-Kray, his grandparents' love story is the inspiration for him to compose songs that remind him of their youth.
