Female student from Ha Tinh province won first prize in "Young leader in the digital age"

Dinh Thi Diem Quynh (born 2003, Cam Due commune), a student majoring in multimedia communications at the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, has just graduated with a score of 3.81/4, ranking top in the industry. Recently, Diem Quynh also won first prize at the program "Young leaders in the digital age" organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology . This is a short-term training program with the participation of 50 excellent students from many majors at the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology - outstanding faces in terms of academic achievements, training and desire to develop sustainable leadership capacity in the context of digital transformation.

With the goal of spreading educational innovation and improving the quality of STEM education in Vietnam, Diem Quynh's project "Al-Frist on STEM education" is considered practical and highly applicable in teaching.

Diem Quynh shared: "This is the first time I have built a startup project, the topic comes from my own learning needs. The process of implementing the project has helped me learn more professional knowledge in three areas: technology - business - marketing. Currently, the project is being incubated and planned for implementation."

At the award ceremony held in early July, the girl from Ha Tinh represented more than 50 students to receive the award and give a speech. For Quynh, this is a great honor and also a beautiful memory to end her student life.

It is known that Diem Quynh's dream before was not to become a media student but a police officer. However, due to many changes in exam requirements, Diem Quynh decided to "change direction" to the media industry. Being an active person, regularly participating in movement activities, MC for school programs... helped Diem Quynh realize that she has a talent for the media field - where she can develop her communication skills, be creative and connect with people.

Recalling the day she received her exam results, the former student of Cam Binh High School said she was happy to know that she was accepted into the media major with a score far exceeding her expectations. When she first entered university, the female student felt "lost" when she had to start her life studying and working alone in a new city without knowing any fellow countrymen. The limitations of her voice also caused her to encounter certain obstacles.

Diem Quynh confided: “My hometown accent is a bit difficult to understand for people from other regions. But that doesn’t make me feel self-conscious; on the contrary, I am very proud of this characteristic. I also try to improve my Mandarin accent to help me seize the opportunity to become a host for many important school events.”

Overcoming initial difficulties, during her time studying at the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, Diem Quynh was known as an excellent MC, loved and trusted by friends, teachers and colleagues.

The principle of " smart learning - selective activities "

To both study effectively and participate in group activities, Diem Quynh always sets for herself the principle of "smart study - selective activities".

Diem Quynh shared: “In class, I prioritize listening to lectures, taking notes of main ideas and reviewing the textbook I have read beforehand. Thanks to that, I save time studying on my own and avoid being overloaded with knowledge. Before each semester, I determine the target score for each subject to have a suitable study strategy, not creating too much pressure but still maintaining a high GPA.”

In addition to individual learning methods, Quynh also pays special attention to teamwork skills. Marketing and design exercises have helped female students practice coordination, respect diversity and harmonize the strengths of each member.

“Each student has their own unique style, but because of that, I learned how to select and coordinate harmoniously to complete the best product. In addition, doing group assignments also creates healthy competition, making everyone more interested in learning,” said Diem Quynh.

With the Youth Union activities, Diem Quynh chooses programs that suit her strengths and development goals. Being proactive in arranging her time and knowing how to prioritize important things has helped Quynh maintain top academic achievements and accumulate many meaningful experiences.

Master Nguyen Dinh Son, Quynh's academic advisor, assessed the female student as an excellent student in all fields.

In terms of knowledge, Quynh is diligent, focused and intelligent, always approaching problems in a profound, non-mechanical way. As a Youth Union officer, Quynh is agile, enthusiastic and skillful, recognized by many teachers. The female student is also enthusiastic in movement activities, is an exemplary young party member, and a pioneer.

"I am very proud of you. When I assign you work, I trust you very much. You always complete your tasks better than what the teachers require," said Mr. Son.

Currently, Diem Quynh is taking on many jobs such as being an MC for events, doing Social Media for a media company, participating in a technology startup program in Hanoi. In the long term, the female student plans to study for a master's degree and work in the teaching field.
