Female student from "village school" passed the English, math and IT exams of 3 major specialized schools

Nguyen Mai Lan Nhi is a former student of class 9A2 of Linh Dam Secondary School - a school separated from Hoang Liet School, enrolling the first class of the 2022-2023 school year, located in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi .

In the recent entrance exam for the 10th grade, Lan Nhi passed the math major of the National University of Education High School, the IT major of the Natural Science High School, and the English major of the Foreign Language High School. These are the top 3 specialized schools in the country in terms of training quality and fierce competition for admission.

Currently, Lan Nhi is still waiting for the math results from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Ms. Pham Dam Tuyet Hoa - Principal of Linh Dam Secondary School - said that Lan Nhi is a good student, a good student and especially modest.

"Lan Nhi loves many fields, so she tried her hand at different majors and achieved her wishes.

During her time at school, she has constantly tried her best and always determined to achieve her goals. Lan Nhi's academic results have always ranked first in the school. In 2023-2024, she achieved an average academic score of 9.8," Ms. Hoa shared.

Before passing the entrance exams to three specialized schools in three different subjects, Lan Nhi had won many awards in math and English. She also brought home third prize in the city-level math competition last school year.

Not only excellent in studying, Lan Nhi is also a strong chess player with first prize in chess at the Phu Dong Sports Festival at the district level.

Ms. Mai Thi Hoa, Lan Nhi's mother, said: "Her achievements are thanks to the teachers' guidance and her own self-study awareness."

Ms. Hoa is a biology teacher. However, she said she cannot tutor her children. When her children were young, she sat next to them to work and check their homework when necessary. As they grew older, she let them take the initiative. Lan Nhi was modest and hard-working. There were times when she was so absorbed in her studies that she had to remind her to go to bed early.

Although Lan Nhi was a good student since childhood, Ms. Hoa did not send her to a high-quality secondary school. Instead, she sent her to school near home.

"Although it is a new school, Linh Dam Secondary School inherits the tradition and achievements of the former Hoang Liet Secondary School.

Lan Nhi mainly learns from her teachers at school. Her homeroom teacher, Pham Thi Kieu Dung, instills in her a passion for math and motivation to learn, so she learns very proactively and enthusiastically.

Because I focus on math, I don't have much time for English. I mainly study in class and review the materials myself," Ms. Hoa confided.

Ms. Pham Dam Tuyet Hoa added that although it is not a high-quality school in the district, training key students is still one of the educational goals of Linh Dam Secondary School.

"At the end of the school year, homeroom teachers coordinate with subject teachers to advise and guide students with the best ability to develop their abilities. On that basis, in the new school year, the school builds a plan to nurture excellent students in each subject.

At Linh Dam school, teachers assigned to the task of nurturing excellent students are extremely dedicated. They do not mind difficulties, always seek to learn and improve their expertise and devote all their efforts to supporting their students," Ms. Hoa shared.

In addition to Nguyen Mai Lan Nhi, Linh Dam Secondary School also has two other students passing the specialized entrance exam. Tran Ha Ngoc Mai passed the Physics entrance exam of the Natural Science entrance exam, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan Minh passed the English entrance exam of the Pedagogical and Foreign Language specialized schools.
