Valedictorian of Literature major and Pedagogy major ranked first thanks to 10 points in math

Nguyen Mai Phuong is a former student of class 9A6 at Cau Giay Secondary School.

In the entrance exam to grade 10 of the University of Education High School for the Gifted, Mai Phuong only scored 6.5 points in the specialized literature subject. However, her two conditional subjects were very high, including 8 points in literature and 10 points in math.

With a total score of 31/40, Mai Phuong ranked first among 681 students applying for the Literature major at the Pedagogical University.

Following Mai Phuong is Le Chau Giang. This female student scored 30.5 points, only 0.5 points behind the valedictorian, also thanks to her 9 points in the conditional math subject.

Meanwhile, two other candidates in the top 5 literature majors of the National University of Education High School, Nguyen Hong Van and Nguyen Dinh Thao Linh, have high specialized subject scores, 8.25 and 7.75 respectively, but their conditional math scores are only 4.25 and 5.25.

At Cau Giay Secondary School, in addition to valedictorian Nguyen Mai Phuong, there are 3 valedictorians in the Pedagogy major: Quan Minh Hong Anh - valedictorian in geography, Nguyen Khanh Phuong and Dang Hoang Linh - co-valedictorians in chemistry.

This public secondary school also has 109 students passing the entrance exam to the Hanoi National University of Education's specialized high school, including 17 students passing the entrance exam for math, 4 students passing the entrance exam for information technology, 14 students passing the entrance exam for physics, 20 students passing the entrance exam for chemistry, 8 students passing the entrance exam for biology, 17 students passing the entrance exam for literature, 28 students passing the entrance exam for English, and 1 student passing the entrance exam for geography.

Many students passed many specialized schools at the same time, such as Nguyen Khanh Phuong (former student of class 9A4) who passed all three schools: High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , High School for the Gifted in Foreign Languages, and High School for the Gifted in the University of Education.

The Pedagogical College is the last university-affiliated specialized school in Hanoi to announce admission scores.

Many students who have passed the specialized entrance exam are still waiting for the exam results of specialized schools under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to make the final decision on where to study.
