Create conditions for student admission
After the merger, it is expected that about 1,700 students from Quang Nam will transfer to study at schools in the city.
To best prepare and ensure the right to continuous learning for students, the City Department of Education and Training has sent a document to the Department of Education and Training of districts (old) and principals of schools under the Department to guide the reception of students from Quang Nam (old) who have transferred to another school.
Accordingly, schools in the area proactively receive students transferred from Quang Nam province according to regulations, giving priority to students who are children of officials, civil servants, and public employees who are mobilized, transferred, or assigned to work at agencies and units after the merger.
Admission must ensure the correct process, the right subjects, and the appropriate physical conditions and teaching staff of the unit. Schools base on the actual conditions of class size, physical facilities and teaching staff to arrange students in appropriate classes.
Priority is given to placement at schools near the parents' residence or workplace. Absolutely do not allow the situation of refusing to accept students under the direction of the City People's Committee.
According to information from the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang , the department has announced that from July 15, the One-Stop Department will receive cases of school transfer due to parents' job transfer.
In cases where the procedures are unclear, students will be guided on the types of documents and records required in the school transfer procedure.
Through initial surveys, students from schools in Quang Nam (old) transferring to Da Nang are scattered throughout the area and not concentrated in a few schools in the central area. Most of the students transferring are concentrated in primary and secondary schools.
The Department of Education and Training guides local schools to proactively accept students. Acceptance must be carried out in accordance with the correct procedures and processes and must be consistent with the school's physical facilities and teaching staff.
Ready for the new school year
Teacher Truong Thi Nha Truc, Principal of Phu Dong Primary School (Hai Chau Ward) said: "This school year, the school received about 10 applications from classes transferring from Quang Nam to study at the school. The school created the best conditions, guided parents to prepare documents and admission records to complete related procedures, ready for students to enter the new school year."

According to Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Van, Head of the Department of Culture and Society (Dien Ban Dong Ward), after taking on the new task, the ward quickly reviewed the management team, teachers and staff of 17 public schools at 3 levels in the area.
At the same time, synthesizing the staff needs of schools, the Ward People's Committee agreed in principle to let schools contract with 163 teachers according to Decree No. 111/2022/ND-CP dated December 30, 2022 on contracts for some types of work in administrative agencies and public service units (referred to as Decree 111) of the Government to arrange enough teachers to teach while there are no guidelines for recruiting new civil servants.
In addition, with the 2018 General Education Program, the teaching staff has completed the training modules of the Ministry of Education and Training. Therefore, in addition to the general training topics of the Department, schools proactively train teachers according to the actual needs of the pedagogical council, meeting the teaching and learning conditions of the school. Similarly, Ba Na commune is currently stabilizing schools, classes and teachers in the area.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Na Commune, Nguyen Thuc Dung, said that the whole commune has 16 schools, including 7 kindergartens (3 public, 4 private), 5 primary schools, 4 secondary schools and 31 independent preschool education facilities; a total of 515 teachers, including 370 public teachers and 145 non-public teachers.
"After reviewing the actual needs for the 2025-2026 school year, the blocks (preschool, primary, secondary) need 111 more teachers. While waiting for regulations to recruit more, the schools need to re-contract with 72 teachers according to Decree No. 111 of the Government to ensure the new school year," said Mr. Dung.
Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang, said: "The Department will coordinate closely with relevant units to provide maximum support to both students and staff and workers. This will help students quickly get used to the environment, stabilize their psychology and study well; and ministries and civil servants from Quang Nam will soon integrate into the new environment."
