On September 28, the 16th Congress of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, opened with the theme "Strengthening the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the potential, advantages, strength of solidarity and cultural identity of ethnic groups; ensuring national defense and security; continuing to innovate, promoting science and technology development, digital transformation, green, fast and sustainable development, striving to make Son La province the socio-economic center of the Northwest sub-region by 2030."
Attending the Congress were 400 outstanding delegates representing over 94,000 party members from 79 party committees under the Son La Provincial Party Committee.
With the spirit of urgent, serious and highly responsible work, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 16th term, 2025-2030, consisting of 54 comrades.
At the first meeting, the Executive Committee of the 16th Son La Provincial Party Committee elected the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee consisting of 14 comrades.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term XV, 2020-2025, was re-elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, 2025-2030.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, born on September 2, 1969, in Yen Chau commune, Son La province; professional expertise: Economic Management Engineer in the field of forestry chemical complex, Bachelor of Law Evaluation, Doctor of Economics; political theory: Senior.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh's working process: From October 2003 to July 2007, specialist, working at the Office of Son La Provincial Party Committee; July 2007 to June 2009, Vice Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee, Son La Province; July 2009 to June 2010, Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee; July 2010 to September 2010, Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee; September 2010 to June 2011, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee; June 2011 to June 2014, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Council; June 2014 to June 2015, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La Province.
June 2015-August 2015, Provincial Party Committee member, Head of the Mass Mobilization Commission of Son La Provincial Party Committee; August 2015-September 21, 2015, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of Son La Provincial Party Committee; from September 22, 2015-June 12, 2019, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of Son La Provincial Party Committee; from June 12, 2019-August 1, 2024, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province; from August 1, 2024-November 7, 2024, Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province; from November 7, 2024 to present, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.
Also at the first meeting, the Executive Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, 2025-2030, elected Mr. Lo Minh Hung, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, and Mr. Cha A Cua to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. The Executive Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, 2025-2030, elected the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee consisting of 13 comrades; elected Ms. Luong Thi Van Anh, member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, to hold the position of Head of the Son La Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
Immediately after the meeting, the Executive Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, 2025-2030, was introduced to the Congress.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, in his acceptance speech, Son La Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh shared the honor of being elected by the Congress to the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 16th term, 2025-2030. This is both an honor and a great responsibility for each member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee before the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Son La province.
Each member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XVI, is deeply aware that to successfully implement the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, the goals, targets, directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term require unceasing efforts, high political determination and strong aspirations of the entire Party Committee.
The Provincial Party Executive Committee must be the center of solidarity, exemplary, pioneering, leading the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the province to overcome difficulties and challenges, exploit the maximum potential and advantages, seize all opportunities, and continue to achieve new and comprehensive successes in all aspects of work.
The Executive Committee of the 16th term of the Son La Provincial Party Committee pledges to be absolutely loyal to the interests of the Party, the nation, the people and the nation; to adhere to Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the goals and ideals of national independence, socialism and the Party's renovation policy. To regularly practice and maintain pure moral qualities; to strictly comply with and implement the Party's organizational and disciplinary principles, especially the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism.
The Son La Provincial Party Executive Committee will effectively organize the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress; set an example, gather and promote the combined strength of the collective and individuals. Build the Provincial Party Executive Committee as a united bloc, unified in will and action in leadership and direction; strive to successfully complete the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress.
