On July 10, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Prime Minister Mustafa met with United Nations (UN) officials and more than 60 members of foreign diplomatic missions at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Ramallah city .

During the meeting, the head of government updated the dire humanitarian situation facing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the occupation attacks on many cities and refugee camps in the West Bank, as well as the ongoing international efforts to end the conflict and begin reconstruction.

Focusing on the situation in the Gaza Strip, Mr. Mustafa said that the ongoing war has had a devastating impact on all parts of Palestinian society, including schools, teachers and students, and reaffirmed the government's support for all efforts to achieve a ceasefire and implement UN Resolution 2735.

Prime Minister Mustafa condemned the brutal campaign against Palestinian refugee camps as well as attempts to sabotage the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), and stressed the importance of protecting the right of return for refugees.

The head of the Palestinian government also denounced Israel's illegal settlement policy and acts of violence against Palestinians in many cities, villages and towns in the West Bank, and called for stronger international actions to end these acts.

Expressing deep gratitude to countries and organizations that have taken a tough stance against Tel Aviv's policies, Mr. Mustafa affirmed that such stances greatly contribute to protecting the rights of the Palestinian people and supporting the two-state solution.

Meanwhile, China's Xinhua news agency reported that during the meeting, the Palestinian Prime Minister emphasized: "One day after the conflict in the Gaza Strip ends, Palestine must be unified under one administration and one government, cooperating with partners as if united under one plan."

Noting that there can be no indefinite transition period that is likely to create more complexity and chaos, Mr. Mustafa called on international partners, donors and UN organizations to work closely with the Palestinian government to ensure a rapid recovery and address urgent humanitarian needs resulting from the conflict in Gaza and the aftermath of the conflict in the West Bank.

According to the head of the Palestinian government, the government needs to take long-term responsibility in providing essential services such as health care, education, electricity and water to the people of Gaza.
