Pham Tuan Hai was voted into the best squad of the 4th round of the AFC Champions League 2023/2024. His performance in the match between Hanoi FC and Wuhan Three Towns earned him a place on this list.

The Vietnamese representative hosted Wuhan Three Towns at My Dinh Stadium. Despite conceding an early goal, Hanoi FC played resiliently. They came back to win 2-1 with a double from Pham Tuan Hai. These were the first points for this team in the group stage of the AFC Champions League this year.

The double also helped Tuan Hai increase his total number of goals in the tournament to 3. This achievement is only behind 4 players: Talisca (Al Nassr, 6 goals), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Al Hilal, 5 goals), Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba (Al Ain, 5 goals) and Ali Jasim (Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, 4 goals).

Talisca and Kodjo Laba were also in the best XI of the match. The Al Nassr midfielder had an explosive performance when scoring a hat-trick. Meanwhile, Laba scored a double in the home team's 3-2 win over Al Feiha.

The team also includes three other players from Southeast Asian clubs. Richairo Zivkovic scored twice to help Lion City beat Jeonbuk. The central defender duo of Dion Cools and Kim Min-hyeok are on the books of Buriram United. The Thai team won 1-0 against Melbourne City.

Sepahan players Mohammad Hosseinazhad and Ramin Rezaeian were on target as the home team secured a 9-0 win over AGMK, the biggest win in the history of the AFC Champions League Western Region group stage.

The group stage has two more matches to go. Currently, Al Ain and Pohang Steelers are the first two teams to secure a place in the next round.

Hanoi FC still has a chance to pass the group stage but this possibility is not high. The capital team is at the bottom of group J with 3 points, 1 point behind Urawa Reds and Wuhan Three Towns.
