Vietnam Red Cross supports 600 million VND for people affected by storm No. 10 in Quynh Phu commune

On October 2, the Vietnam Red Cross Society coordinated with the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society to organize a ceremony to give gifts and cash to people affected by storm No. 10.

Attending the gift-giving ceremony were comrades: Vu Thanh Luu - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society ; Nguyen Luong Hong - President of the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society, and representatives of local leaders.

In recent days, storm No. 10 (Bualoi) made landfall, causing great property damage to people in Quynh Phu commune, Nghe An province.

The whole commune had 1 house completely collapsed, 47 houses had their roofs blown off, 209 households had their corrugated iron roofs blown off, and thousands of houses, salt warehouses, seafood warehouses, livestock farms, and crops were flooded and damaged.

Sharing the heavy losses of the people of Quynh Phu commune, on this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society decided to provide emergency cash support of 200 million VND to 91 households whose houses collapsed and roofs were blown off.

At the same time, many essential items were given to 300 households in flooded areas to stabilize their lives. The total value of the cash and gift aid was 600 million VND.

Through the Vietnam Red Cross, Vinasoy Vietnam Soymilk Company also donated 300 cartons of Fami milk to 300 households that suffered heavy losses.

This is a very meaningful social humanitarian activity to promptly support and encourage the spirit and material to help people in Quynh Phu commune overcome difficulties, overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and soon stabilize their lives./.
