Strive to complete projects and works serving APEC 2027 3 to 6 months in advance

The Deputy Prime Minister concluded that the implementation of projects for the APEC 2027 Conference is an extremely important political task, serving the foreign affairs of the Party and State. This is an important and urgent task, related to building the country's image with international friends. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to promote and build an eco-tourism and resort destination in Phu Quoc special zone.

The Government and the Prime Minister are very interested in and creating all favorable conditions for the implementation of investment projects serving the APEC 2027 Conference. Ministries, branches, and the People's Committee of An Giang province must identify this as a political task and a long-term development need, and at the same time, an opportunity for Phu Quoc to break through and develop civilized and modern.

These are very urgent tasks, with a deadline for completion set. Relevant agencies and units are only allowed to "discuss forward", not "discuss backward" in the spirit of investing in projects to serve the 2027 APEC Conference well and develop a long-term strategy for Phu Quoc special economic zone.

Regarding specific tasks in the coming time, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung requested that the policy on investment in projects serving the APEC 2027 Summit Week is extremely urgent and important, requiring high concentration to complete the tasks assigned to ministries, branches, and the People's Committee of An Giang province. The implementation must be fast, ensuring quality, and completed on schedule.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that central ministries and branches, especially the People's Committee of An Giang province, must prioritize leadership, direction and implementation to complete assigned tasks, deploy quickly, strive to complete projects and works 3 to 6 months ahead of schedule, ensuring the best quality to have beautiful and impressive works contributing to promoting and introducing Phu Quoc to international friends.

Ministries, agencies and localities must strictly implement the reporting regime once a month. The Government Office, based on the reports of the agencies, synthesizes and reports to the Deputy Prime Minister. At the same time, researches and arranges a schedule every 2 to 3 months for the Deputy Prime Minister to inspect the site, promptly urge the progress of projects, resolve problems, and motivate contractors, construction units and workers.

Ministries and agencies, especially An Giang province, must thoroughly grasp the spirit of "what is said is done, what is committed is done"; must "be highly determined, make great efforts" to implement projects in the best, fastest, and highest quality. Proactively coordinate to resolve problems within their authority, promptly report issues beyond their authority. Organize implementation publicly, transparently, quickly, in accordance with procedures and regulations...
