Fireworks exploded through the ceiling, 13-year-old boy in Binh Duong suffered severe burns

(Dan Tri) - A 7th grade boy in Di An City ( Binh Duong ) went into his bedroom to play with firecrackers. Unfortunately, the firecrackers exploded, causing him to suffer severe burns.

The explosion occurred on the morning of January 11 at a house on Tan An Street, Tan An Quarter, Tan Dong Hiep Ward, Di An City.

At that time, the family was in the house when they suddenly heard a loud explosion coming from the room of their son named TKT (13 years old). Some people ran into the room and saw T. was severely burned, many items in the room were on fire, the ceiling was punctured, and the ceiling panels fell to the ground.

T. was quickly taken to a clinic near his home for first aid and then transferred to Children's Hospital 2 (HCMC) with many burns on his face, hands, and feet.

T.’s relatives said they checked the room and found some pieces of firecrackers left. They also searched T.’s backpack but did not find any more firecrackers. T. is a 7th grade student at a middle school in Di An City.

Also in Binh Duong on December 27, 2024, NAK (15 years old) and a group of friends went to the canal bank in An Thanh ward (Thuan An city) to play with fireworks. Unfortunately, the fireworks exploded, crushing K.'s right hand, which had to be amputated.

Previously, police in provinces and cities warned about the situation of homemade firecrackers causing consecutive casualties on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025. Parents need to pay attention, not letting their children make their own firecrackers due to lack of knowledge, causing unfortunate consequences.
