Mother and child found dead at home

Authorities are investigating the cause of death of a mother and child in Cam Xuyen ( Ha Tinh ) at their home.

On the afternoon of May 27, Mr. Hoang Van Linh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Duong Commune (Cam Xuyen) informed that local people had just discovered the decomposing bodies of a mother and child at their home.

Accordingly, at around 9:00 a.m. on May 27, while passing by the house of Mrs. Phan Thi P. (born in 1933 in Trung Doai village, Cam Duong commune), people smelled a foul smell coming from Mrs. P.'s house so they went in to check.

Authorities examine the scene

When they arrived, they found Mrs. P. dead on the bed, and Ms. Phan Thi N. (born 1976, Mrs. P.’s daughter) dead on the porch. Both bodies were in the process of decomposition.

The incident was then quickly reported to the authorities by the people.

Through initial examination, the authorities determined that Ms. P. had died about a month ago, and her body was decomposing; while Ms. N. died about a week ago, due to myocardial infarction.

It is known that Mrs. P. and her children are in extremely difficult circumstances, and Ms. N. is a recipient of social assistance.

Authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident.
