Many people have the habit of opening their eyes and picking up their phones to surf the internet, but that is really not good for you. This is not a good way to start your day. Instead, Dr. Michael Mosley recommends changing and creating a new habit for yourself. This habit will not only help you feel comfortable in the morning, but also help lower blood pressure and sleep better at night, according to the Mirror .

Discover the morning habit that can help you lower your blood pressure and get a good night's sleep

Take a brisk walk within the first 2 hours after waking up.

Dr Mosley said that taking a brisk walk within the first two hours of waking up can help you sleep better the next night, as natural light from the outdoors will help regulate your body clock, according to Mirror.

In addition to helping you sleep better, Dr. Mosley says it's great for your overall health, and by increasing your pace you can help maintain heart health, regulate hunger, mood, and most importantly, lower blood pressure.

In addition to helping you stay awake, outdoor light helps reset your body's biological clock, which in turn helps regulate hunger, mood, body temperature, and other important bodily processes, says Dr. Mosley.

In addition to getting plenty of light exposure, any walk, whether short, long, fast or slow, will strengthen muscles and bones, relieve joint and muscle pain, burn a few calories and increase energy levels, adds Mr Mosley.

Walking can also lower blood pressure by reducing the stiffness of blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. Dr. Mosley recommends walking for at least 30 minutes, but he emphasizes that any morning walk is better than none.

According to the UK's National Health Service, a brisk 10-minute walk a day has a host of health benefits. A brisk walk is around 5km/h - meaning you can still talk but not sing while walking, according to the Mirror.
