Quang Yen always pays attention to and focuses on implementing the work of preserving and promoting the value of relics, in order to contribute to preserving unique cultural traditions, as well as promoting the development of the local spiritual tourism sector.
Recently, many schools in Quang Yen town have organized extracurricular activities for students at historical sites. Among them, Bach Dang historical site is a place that many schools organize to visit and experience. Teacher Vu Thi Giang, Principal of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Quang Yen town) said: At Bach Dang historical site, students can listen to stories about famous generals Ngo Quyen and Tran Hung Dao; participate in experiential activities such as reenacting the battle on Bach Dang river, or take historical tests. Through these activities, students not only learn historical knowledge, but also cultivate love for their homeland, national pride and a sense of responsibility to preserve cultural heritage. Those traditional values will be engraved in their minds and hearts, becoming valuable luggage for them to step into the future.
Nguyen Ha Minh Chau (class 8A, Tran Hung Dao Secondary School) shared: When visiting and experiencing the relics, I feel very proud of the historical tradition of the nation. I understand more clearly the meaning and value of the victories on the legendary Bach Dang River, the sacrifices of previous generations to protect territorial sovereignty . Therefore, I always try to study and practice well to contribute to building, protecting and developing my homeland to become more and more beautiful.
Along with local history education , Quang Yen town also pays attention to the work of preserving and promoting the values of relics, in order to create momentum for tourism development, expanding the space for tourism connections from Bach Dang relics to other relic sites, as well as localities inside and outside the province. Since 2012, the town has coordinated to establish a master plan for the project of Preserving and Promoting the Value of Bach Dang Victory Historical Relic Site, approved by the Prime Minister with a total estimated investment of 800 billion VND. Phase 1 has only implemented site clearance and technical infrastructure system; deployed architectural works. The total value of completed items of the project phase 1 is over 99 billion VND.
Last August, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee conducted a field assessment of the nomination dossier for the Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic, in the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex, as a World Cultural Heritage.
The Management Board of Bach Dang National Special Relic has also done a good job of managing, protecting, embellishing, exploiting and promoting the historical and cultural values of the relic according to the hierarchy and the provisions of law; ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, fire and explosion prevention. Organizing propaganda, mobilizing people and tourists to participate in preserving, protecting and promoting the values of Bach Dang National Special Historical Relic. Strengthening the application of digital technology in promoting and introducing relic sites. At the same time, coordinating to strengthen propaganda, promoting images and documents on digital media platforms and social networks to people and tourists about the outstanding global values, integrity and authenticity of Bach Dang National Special Historical Relic.
Mr. Pham Chien Thang, Head of the Bach Dang National Special Historical Relic Management Board, said: To further promote the value of the relic, we have been focusing on improving the professional qualifications of the tour guide team, collecting documents and knowledge to supplement the explanation for the heritage to be more and more complete. In particular, preserving the traditional rituals of the relic; enhancing the role of clans and religious organizations in maintaining and coordinating the organization of festivals and important holidays of the year.
