On March 27 and 28, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Ward (Thanh Hoa City) held the 12th Congress of the Fatherland Front of the Ward, term 2024-2029.

In the 2019 - 2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Ward has promoted its core role in gathering and building the great national unity bloc. Proactively innovating the content and methods of operation; coordinating propaganda and mobilizing union members, association members and people of all walks of life to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; implementing the goals of economic and social development, building civilized urban areas, and ensuring social security.

Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with implementing the Directive of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on "Building civilized urban areas and friendly citizens", focusing on the campaign " Thanh Hoa City people speak good words, do good deeds, and act friendly", the Ward Fatherland Front has implemented in the direction of innovation in content and methods, implementing towards residential areas.

In 5 years, residential areas have mobilized people to contribute over 1.7 billion VND to upgrade and expand roads, purchase equipment for cultural houses, repair cultural houses; pave stone, buy trash cans...; households in the whole ward have installed 2,028 signs "Thanh Hoa City people speak good words, do good deeds, act friendly". The ward Fatherland Front Committee coordinated to deploy the model "Home security camera" in residential areas, as a result, 8/8 residential areas organized to launch the model, installed 2,191 cameras with a total amount of over 2 billion VND.

Implementing the model of building a "Civilized Commercial" business street in the period of 2021-2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have propagated and mobilized shops, stores, and business households to install 400 signs on Le Hoan, To Vinh Dien, Dong Lan, Trieu Quoc Dat, and Hau Thanh streets.

In addition, the Fatherland Front of the ward has supported house repairs, provided support and gifts to disadvantaged households with a total amount of 370 million VND; mobilized cadres, union members, association members, people, units and businesses to support people in the Central region affected by floods due to natural disasters with a total amount of 228 million VND...
The Congress also seriously reviewed and frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the organization and operation methods of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term, and at the same time proposed directions, goals, tasks for the 2024-2029 term and key solutions close to the actual situation in the locality.

With the theme "Continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation; enhancing the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; promoting the strength of great national unity; building Dien Bien ward into a "Labor Hero in the renovation period" unit, the Congress democratically elected 34 members to join the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, term 2024-2029. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee. The Congress also elected 5 delegates to attend the Thanh Hoa City Fatherland Front Congress for the term 2024-2029.
