Male passenger fined for buying seat 26 but arbitrarily changing to seat 27

On the flight from Can Tho to Da Nang, the male passenger insisted on changing seats and made threatening comments despite the flight attendant's repeated explanations and reminders.

On March 16, according to a source of PV, the Southern Airports Authority has just decided to administratively sanction Mr. NVT (39 years old), residing in Da Nang City.

Although the flight attendant reminded him many times, Mr. T continuously refused to cooperate.

Mr. T was fined for not following the flight crew's instructions on ensuring order, security, aviation safety, and disease prevention.

Specifically, at around 9:00 a.m. on March 12, at Can Tho airport, after the plane on the flight from Can Tho to Da Nang was taxiing, Mr. T, a passenger in seat 26D, arbitrarily changed his seat to seat 27F.

When the flight attendants repeatedly reminded Mr. T to return to his seat, he repeatedly refused to cooperate. After 15 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to persuade the passenger, the captain decided to return to the aircraft parking position and refuse to transport the passenger.

In the report, Mr. T admitted to arguing and threatening the flight attendant.

According to point a, clause 4, article 8 of Decree 162 regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of civil aviation, the Southern Airports Authority decided to fine Mr. T 2 million VND.

A representative of the Southern Airport Authority in Can Tho said that passengers must comply with flight safety regulations. In addition, passengers must also comply with the flight attendants' requests to ensure their own safety and the safety of the flight.
