On the afternoon of September 29, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong chaired a meeting to review preparations for the International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair of the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Da Nang - 2025; and the Conference on Connecting Trade and Promoting Export Da Nang - 2025.

Information at the meeting said that the EWEC Da Nang Fair - 2025 will take place from October 1 to 6, 2025. As of September 29, there were 142 units/enterprises nationwide participating with 220 booths. Da Nang alone had 60 participating businesses with 91 booths.
Products displayed and introduced at the fair include: local products (key products, typical products, OCOP products, regional specialties, etc.), industries: electronics - technology (technology equipment, household appliances, new technology products, machinery and equipment, etc.); food - agricultural products (food and beverages, clean agricultural products of all kinds); household goods (wooden handicrafts, rattan, textiles, gifts, etc.) and other services (logistics, travel services, tourism, education , health care, etc.).
The Department of Industry and Trade presides over and coordinates with relevant units to complete the design, provide and supplement images; set up the booth and prepare to display products and materials at the booth. Each unit has a person on duty and explains the assigned fields at the common booth during the fair.
Regarding the organization of the conference Connecting Trade and Promoting Export in Da Nang - 2025, a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the conference will be held on October 2 at the Ariyana International Convention Palace. Up to now, more than 100 delegates have registered to attend the conference.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong requested the Department of Industry and Trade to closely coordinate with relevant units to prioritize space for displaying OCOP products at the fair; coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review the list of OCOP products, especially products from the city's mountainous areas, to support timely transportation and display.
The city's Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion checks and reviews the quality of items participating in the fair, ensuring that displayed products meet standards.
The City Market Management Department needs to strengthen the inspection and control of goods, ensure transparency and safety, and contribute to building trust for people and tourists when visiting and shopping at the fair.
