Hoa Mat Troi Farm Production and Trading Company Limited (Buon Ma Thuot Ward) is one of Dak Lak 's typical start-up models associated with digital transformation. Established in April 2022, the company aims to develop livestock farms (crickets, grasshoppers, frogs, etc.) and invest in processing and packaging machinery, standardizing processes to increase product value.

Since its inception, the company has focused on applying digital technology in production and business activities such as: building booths on e-commerce platforms Shopee, Lazada, TikTok; operating a website integrating online payment and shipping links; applying software for order management, customer care, accounting and warehouse management.

Hoa Mat Troi Farm Production and Trading Company Limited (Buon Ma Thuot ward) approaches customers through e-commerce platforms.

Mr. Dang Dinh Luan, Director of Hoa Mat Troi Farm Production and Trading Company Limited, shared: “I chose to start a business with new products to create a difference and affirm the brand. However, if it only stops at raising and selling raw products, it will be very difficult to expand the market. Therefore, digital transformation not only helps the company optimize costs but most importantly, it has the opportunity to directly approach customers on a wide scale. This is the inevitable path for Dak Lak agricultural products to go far, creating sustainable value for producers and businesses.”

Startups associated with digital transformation not only bring business efficiency to each enterprise, but also contribute to the formation of an innovative ecosystem in the province. This is an important resource for Dak Lak to build a generation of young entrepreneurs with aspirations, courage, and readiness to accompany the province in the strategy of developing digital agriculture, digital economy and deep integration in the future.

Hoa Mat Troi Farm Production and Trading Company Limited is managing 2 farms of 1,600 m², 320 barns and is linked with 35 farming households in many provinces, creating a stable supply source. On average, each month, the company supplies about 15 tons of commercial crickets, receives more than 150 online orders per day, with revenue reaching over 1 billion VND/month, and profit of about 400 million VND/month.

In the coming time, Hoa Mat Troi Farm Production and Trading Company Limited will continue to research technological solutions for automatic feeding and watering; temperature and humidity sensors to modernize the production process.

In the context that many agricultural enterprises are still struggling to find stable output, Dak Lak Macca Company Limited (Buon Ho ward) chose a new direction, applying digital technology to expand the market.

Mr. Dang Van Hiep, Director of Dak Lak Macadamia Company Limited, said that each year the company supplies about 100 tons of macadamia nuts to the market, mainly through wholesale channels for traditional agents. Realizing the risks of depending on old consumption methods, the company has built a strategy to bring products to supermarkets and large stores. At the same time, it has hired a team of experts to design websites and booths on e-commerce platforms, and approach customers directly.

Currently, the online order rate of Dak Lak Macadamia Company Limited accounts for about 15% of total consumption. In addition, the company also connects with a number of new wholesale customers through digital channels. In order to promote Dak Lak macadamia products more widely, the company aims to expand to international e-commerce platforms.

Not only focusing on e-commerce, the company also invested in modern macadamia nut sorting machines, helping to check the quality of the kernels inside, replacing the traditional hand-selecting method. This new technology helps to improve product uniformity, reduce loss and strengthen brand reputation with partners and customers.

It can be seen that the common point of young businesses is dynamic thinking, daring to think and act, and being sensitive to technology. Whether choosing new products or inheriting traditional production models, businesses all affirm that applying technology and digital transformation is not only a trend in the service or industrial sectors but also an important lever to help agricultural products increase value and expand markets. This is also proof of the correct decision of Dak Lak province when identifying digital transformation as one of the three strategic breakthroughs, an important driving force for sustainable socio-economic development in the coming period.
