Successful surgery of 20.5kg ovarian tumor

Here, the ultrasound results showed that Ms. T. had a very large abdominal tumor (407 x 254 x 390mm), exceeding the measuring capacity of the ultrasound machine, with many septa and increased blood vessels but no back shadow image. The MRI results showed that the tumor was large and multi-lobed, with a risk of malignancy.

After 30 minutes of preparation, the doctors aspirated more than 16 liters of thin mucus; then carefully removed the adhesions and separated them to avoid damaging the adjacent organs, exposing the tumor as clearly as possible and then proceeded to cut the tumor.

The surgery lasted 240 minutes, the total weight of the tumor (including fluid and tumor tissue) was 20.5 kg.

On the morning of August 4, the surgical wound was dry, no fever, Ms. T. ate and drank normally, her stomach was sunken. She happily talked, her weight before surgery was 61kg, now she is only about 40kg.
