“In a short time, the “Children’s National Assembly” will consider many important contents with the workload of the second “Children’s National Assembly” session being relatively large. In order for the session to achieve the best results, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the “Children’s National Assembly”, I respectfully request the delegates to promote democracy, solidarity, uphold the spirit of responsibility, focus on thorough research, discuss enthusiastically, contribute many passionate, profound and quality opinions to meet the requirements and tasks in the work of protecting, caring for and educating children as well as the expectations of “child voters” and people across the country”, Chairman of the “Children’s National Assembly” Le Gia Vinh shared.

On the same afternoon, the second “Children’s National Assembly” in 2024 continued its work. Delegates participated in discussions in 12 groups with 2 topics: “Preventing school violence” and “Preventing the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment”.

Within the framework of the meeting program, on the morning of September 28, a delegation of outstanding children from all over the country visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street. The delegates respectfully offered flowers bearing the inscription "Forever grateful to President Ho Chi Minh" and expressed their deep gratitude for Uncle Ho's great contributions to the nation and country.

The mock session of the “Children’s National Assembly” was held to effectively implement the 2016 Law on Children, concretizing the national action program for children in the period of 2021 - 2030. This is also one of the specific tasks and solutions in effectively implementing the Project “Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union promotes children’s participation in children’s issues in the period of 2023-2027”.

This forum helps children express their opinions and aspirations and is an opportunity for them to practice political activities, nurture their dreams and build great ambitions. The session shows the special attention of the leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly and society to the work of protecting, caring for and educating teenagers and children. This is also a new model of activity, helping children improve their skills in presenting opinions and viewpoints and participating in the decision-making process on issues directly related to them.
