On the afternoon of January 11, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee To Thi Bich Chau visited and presented Tet gifts to disadvantaged cancer patients being treated at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital.
During the visit, Vice President To Thi Bich Chau sent the kind regards and encouragement of the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien to the patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at the hospital. At the same time, 100 gifts (each gift includes 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND) were presented to the patients in difficult circumstances.
“The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee is very happy to visit you today. This also comes from the noble heart of Comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. Comrade thinks that, when Tet comes, the Vietnam Fatherland Front shares the kind hearts of benefactors with poor patients and also does not forget the patients who are facing many difficulties. Therefore, Comrade Do Van Chien said that there is nothing, there is no place that we cannot go, as long as the hearts of benefactors are shared. Today we come to visit you with small gifts, to encourage you to try to overcome the adversity of illness and have positive treatment results”, Vice President To Thi Bich Chau said at the gift-giving ceremony.
Director of Can Tho City Oncology Hospital Vo Van Kha, on behalf of the hospital staff and patients, thanked the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. Mr. Kha said this was a great encouragement for the hospital staff, especially the patients being treated at the hospital. Can Tho Oncology Hospital is a Grade 1 Oncology hospital, providing treatment in the Mekong Delta. The hospital has a capacity of 450 beds but often has to receive and treat more than 500 beds at the same time, causing the hospital to be overloaded.
“In addition to medical examination and treatment, the hospital also annually pays attention to supporting poor patients. On the occasion of the International Cancer Prevention Day on February 4, the hospital will organize a series of activities for patients, mobilizing all resources to contribute to poor patients,” Mr. Vo Van Kha shared.
