Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son received leaders of several US corporations.

(Chinhphu.vn) - On September 23, in New York, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son had meetings with leaders of Amazon, Lockheed Martin and AES Corporations on the occasion of attending the High-level General Debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly and bilateral activities in the United States.

Leaders of Amazon, Lockheed Martin and AES Corporations highly appreciated the development potential and expressed their desire to continue expanding cooperation in Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the results of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in recent times, especially in the year marking the 30th anniversary of normalization of relations and the 2nd anniversary of upgrading relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the United States is one of Vietnam's leading important partners, in which US enterprises play a core role, contributing to promoting sustainable development relations, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the economic , trade and investment relations between the two countries continue to maintain a positive and stable development momentum; he acknowledged that US enterprises continue to maintain and expand their business activities, in addition to traditional fields, increasing investment in many fields, especially high technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, etc., in line with Vietnam's orientation of building an independent, self-reliant and deeply internationally integrated economy.

The Vietnamese Party and State pay attention to and create the most favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises, including US enterprises, to invest and do business effectively and sustainably in Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed, adding that the two governments will continue to work on the issue of reciprocal taxes, thereby creating a stable business environment for enterprises of the two countries.

AES Group Vice President Juan Ignacio Rubiolo informed about the progress of the group's projects in Vietnam, including the Son My liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal project and the Son My II gas-fired power plant project; affirmed the Group's determination and hope to continue receiving support from ministries and branches to successfully implement projects in Vietnam, contributing to the realization of Vietnam's development goals in the coming years.

Lockneed Martin International President Michael E. Williamson highly appreciated Vietnam's development potential and expressed his desire to promote cooperation in the field of defense trade, in accordance with the needs of both sides.

Director of Legal Affairs and Global Relations of Amazon Group David Zapolsky highly appreciated the strong development of Vietnam's digital infrastructure, expressing his wish to continue expanding cooperation in Vietnam in the fields of e-commerce, artificial intelligence application, satellite technology and cloud computing./.
