On February 27, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City announced that Mr. Huynh Quang Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee - had just signed regulations on civilized tourist behavior in Phu Quoc, requiring compliance with rules, regulations of operation, and instructions at tourist attractions; respecting local culture and customs.

Protect the environmental landscape, maintain public hygiene, public order and cultural and historical values ​​at tourist attractions.

Help the disadvantaged when participating in tourism activities; do not buy or sell wild animals, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, or prohibited goods.

Local people, travel agencies and tourism businesses need to behave properly, warmly, friendly and responsibly; not discriminate and need to listen to tourists' comments. Businesses and restaurants need to publicize service prices and sell at the listed prices.

In particular, healthy competition, maintaining reputation, not forcing or soliciting tourists, contributing to stimulating tourism, attracting domestic and foreign visitors to Phu Quoc for entertainment and relaxation.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Khac Huy - Vice President of Kien Giang Tourism Association, General Director of Vina Phu Quoc Tourism Company Limited - informed that Phu Quoc is currently an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Phu Quoc tourism is currently recovering strongly as many international visitors from Korea, Taiwan, China, France, America... come to visit.

Therefore, the decision by the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City on civilized tourism behavior is a great thing to make tourists more appreciative and satisfied when coming to Phu Quoc.

Local tourism businesses will follow the rules and behave well to always keep Phu Quoc's image beautiful in the eyes of visitors.

Kien Giang Department of Tourism said that in the first two months of 2024, Kien Giang is expected to welcome 1.96 million visitors. Of which, international visitors to Phu Quoc are estimated to welcome 215,219, with total tourism revenue reaching VND5,232 billion.
