Quang Tri has 2 products achieving 5-star OCOP certification

Today, January 16, Head of the Department of Rural Development Hoang Minh Tri said that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has just organized a council to evaluate and classify central products in 2024. Accordingly, Quang Tri province has 2 products ranked by the council as 5-star OCOP products including: Khe Sanh Coffee product (100% Arabica powder) of Khe Sanh Agricultural Products Cooperative, Huong Tan commune, Huong Hoa district and Ca gai leo health protection food product of An Xuan Organic Medicinal Herbs Company Limited, Cam Lo town, Cam Lo district.

These are two products that the council has assessed as having high quality, beautiful packaging and design; associated with geographical indications, exploiting the potential, strengths, and cultural values ​​of the locality. Meeting the mandatory conditions of the OCOP product evaluation and classification criteria.

According to Mr. Tri, 5-star OCOP products are granted national OCOP product certificates; and are allowed to use national OCOP logos and stamps on packaging, labels and product introduction and promotion documents according to regulations.

Priority support for promotional activities, introduction and trade promotion, use as gifts in diplomatic activities and local events. National OCOP product producers are responsible for organizing management and controlling product quality in accordance with the set of criteria for evaluating and classifying OCOP products; continuing to improve product quality and image in the market. Evaluation and classification results are valid for 36 months from the date of recognition.
