Education scale of Vinh Long province after merger

GD&TĐ - After the merger, Vinh Long province became one of the largest education and training centers in the Mekong Delta region.

Ms. La Thi Thuy, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Long said: Regarding the network of educational facilities, the whole province currently has about more than 1,400 educational facilities from preschool to general education and continuing education. Of which:

Preschool education has 417 schools (277 preschools, 96 public kindergartens, 44 non-public kindergartens).

Primary education has 455 public schools. Secondary education has 312 schools, including 301 public secondary schools, 10 public primary - secondary schools and 1 non-public primary - secondary school.

High school education has 106 schools, including: 4 junior high schools - high schools, 2 junior high school - high school boarding schools for ethnic minorities, 1 high school boarding school for ethnic minorities, 1 non-public primary - junior high school - high school

There are 3 continuing education centers, 18 district and city vocational education and continuing education centers; 2 secondary schools.

About the staff: The total number of managers, teachers and employees in the whole industry is up to 41,472 people. This is an extremely large human resource, a key factor to improve the quality of education.
